Your Children Really Love Being With You

I watched as father and son walked into the library. You could tell how much they were enjoying their time together. The little boy’s faced lit up the room as he talked a mile a minute to his dad. They were off to find some new books and play with the train set in the children’s room. It was such a simple activity, but it meant the world to that child.

I love watching parents spending time with their children. It’s such a joy to see strong family relationships being forged right in front of my eyes.

Children are often asked to say what they really want from their parents. They give the same answer over and over again.

Your children really love being with you. All they want is your time. They just want to spend time with you.

It couldn’t be simpler!

So whether you are invited to help put together a Lego model, make a fort in the bush, dress up and have a tea party, or listen attentively as they tell you about their favorite book in excruciating detail- the wonderful truth is that your children really love being with you.

All you need to do is be there. Play with them, be silly with them, or do impress them with some glow in the dark magic. It doesn’t really matter just do something together.

Every. Single. Day.

“In the end, kids won’t remember that fancy toy or game you bought for them, they will remember the time you spent with them.” – Kevin Heath.
