I’m a big fan of simple recipes you can make with your kids. I won’t ask you to do anything more complicated than spreading icing on with a knife.

I have seen the flower cupcakes with the pretty piped flowers. But I don’t even own a piping set, and piping flower petals on cupcakes is not something I would attempt, especially with kids.

These flower cupcakes are super easy to make, which is how I like them. Your kids will love making them for their mom.

The best part? You don’t need to know any fancy piping techniques. You just spread frosting on cupcakes, arrange some candy to look like flowers, and they are ready. Children can easily do the decorating themselves, and that’s the point, isn’t it?

This treat is part of my Mother’s and Father’s Day Recipe collection. You can find all my Holiday & Seasonal Recipes here, or head to the Kid-Friendly Recipes resource hub for everything in one place.
