Make no mistake about it. When it comes to Mother’s Day, a special meal is lovely. A magnificent bouquet of flowers is amazing. Still, what most moms cherish is anything made by their kids.
I remember making cards for my Mom for Mother’s Day every year. We had the basic of supplies and my cards were filled with wonky flowers and crooked letters. My Mom still has one of my home-made cards from 50 years ago!
In my memory box are some of the homemade Mother’s Day cards and gifts my boys made me over 20 years ago.
Let’s face it. We Moms are completely sappy like that.
Most kids love to make special love notes to their parents. If your children are anything like mine were, they would spend ages drawing special pictures for me.
Mother’s Day is important to kids and younger children get especially excited about giving their Mom a special gift. The trouble is that they don’t have a lot of money to spend, and they can hardly go shopping. Have you seen the cost of store-bought cards just lately? It is ridiculous!
So, I created a set of free printable Mothers Day cards to color.
Free Printable Mother’s Day Cards to Color
There are four unique designs to use, so your child can choose which one they want to color.
Aren’t they cute? Having multiple designs also means that you can have different cards for up to four kids to color. All of them feature the cutest pictures of Moms and babies in the animal kingdom.
The designs are deliberately simple, so even the smallest kid should be able to color this card with love. Another thing I love about these card designs is that they don’t use the word Mom on them. This means they can be given to Moms, Grandmas, Aunts, and any other Mom figure in a child’s life.
While I designed these for families, they would be an easy Mother’s Day craft for classrooms and kid’s groups. Teachers and group leaders feel free to download them. They are very easy to prepare, and it is a glorious no mess craft.
