How To Make Mummy Hot Dogs With An Air Fryer
You can whip up these delicious mummy hot dogs in your air fryer or oven with just a few ingredients. Essentially, we are looking at hot dogs wrapped in dough and cooked. We are not looking at anything complicated here.

What You Need To Make Mummy Hot Dogs
- Crescent roll dough
- Hot dogs
- Edible eyes
- Knife
- Air fryer
- Cutting Board
How To Make Mummy Hot Dogs
Preheat the Air Fryer
First things first, preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Preheating ensures your mummy dogs cook evenly and come out perfectly golden brown.

Make the Bandages
Remove the dough from the package. Pull apart into triangles along the perforations. Slice the dough into 1/4-inch strips. These strips will become the mummy bandages.

Wrapping the Mummies
Take each hot dog in turn and wrap it with a dough strip. Leave a small space near the top for the face. Keep winding the dough until the hot dog resembles a mummy. Don’t worry about being too precise—irregular wrapping adds charm!

Air Fry the Mummy Dogs
Arrange the Mummy dogs in the basket of the air fryer so they don’t touch; this allows for even cooking. Cook at 350°F 175°C) for 5-7 minutes or until the crescent rolls are fully cooked. Keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
Add the Eyes
Once the mummy dogs are cooked, remove them and let them cool for a few minutes. This will make adding the eyes easier. Place the edible eyes in the face. Use a smear of ketchup or melted butter to stick the eyes in place.
