Step 3: Spread the Frosting

Using a butter knife or spreader, evenly spread a layer of frosting or Nutella on each graham cracker half. Be generous, but don’t overdo it. The frosting will provide color and hold the face together.

Step 4: Add the Antlers

Now, place two pretzels at the top of each graham cracker half. These will be your reindeer antlers. Press them gently into the frosting to make sure they stick.

Step 5: Place the Eyes

Next, take two candy eyes and place them just below the pretzels. These eyes will give your reindeer a cute and whimsical look. Press them lightly into the frosting so they stay in place.

Step 6: Add the Red Nose

Finally, place a large red M&M in the bottom middle of the graham cracker, just below the eyes. This candy will be the reindeer’s nose. Press it gently into the frosting to secure it.

Helpful Tips for Making Graham Cracker Reindeer

Choose the Right Spread: Besides frosting or Nutella, you can also use smooth peanut butter or cream cheese. Make sure the spread is thick enough to hold the decorations securely.

Experiment with Different Candies: Don’t limit yourself to just M&Ms for the nose. You can use red jelly beans, Skittles, or any other small red candy you have on hand.

Let Them Set: Allow the finished reindeer to sit so the spread can harden slightly. This will help keep all the decorations in place when you move them.

Make It a Group Activity: Involve the kids in the decorating process. It’s a fun way to spend time together, and they’ll love adding their creative touches to each reindeer.
