How To Make This Cute Unicorn Craft
These cute unicorn gift boxes are so easy to make. First, you will want to download our free printable sticker sheet from the library. Next, raid your recycling box for toilet paper rolls. Here’s the list of materials.
Materials Needed
- Free printable stickers
- Toilet paper rolls
- Paint (I used this kind, but you can also use tempera)
- Paintbrush
- Small flower embellishments
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Optional: Printable Sticker Paper
Instructions For Making Our Cute Unicorn Craft
It is straightforward to make. Press the middle of one end of the toilet roll towards the center.
Do the same thing on the opposite side. The two flaps will overlap slightly and make a curved end that looks like a pillow box.
Do the same thing at the other end of the roll. Run your finger along to make the crease sharp.
Paint the box. I found it easier to unfold the ends to paint, but you can paint them closed if you wish.
I used acrylic paint as it gives a nice smooth finish and doesn’t rub off. Tempera paint would work well too. Let the paint dry completely.
Will you are waiting for the paint to dry, you can print out the stickers. You can use ordinary copy paper and glue them onto the tubes. If you prefer, print them onto Printable Sticker Paper. Cut out the stickers you want to use.
Once the box is dry, fold the ends in again if necessary. Place your sticker on the gift box and add whatever embellishments you want. I used little paper flowers I had on hand. Small self-adhesive pearls would also look lovely.
Encourage your kids to decorate the unicorn gift boxes to your heart’s content. Let their imagination run wild as they choose stickers and cute embellishments to make each box as unique as their little heart’s desire.
