Materials Needed For The Candy Corn Pots

You will probably find that you have most of these already.

Step One: Painting the Candy Corn Pots

Prepare the pot by painting it inside and out with white acrylic craft paint. Let it dry.

first step painting the pots

Create a vibrant candy corn effect by painting a center band of the pot with orange acrylic craft paint, followed by a top band with yellow paint. Apply a second coat of paint to each band to create more vibrant colors if desired. Set the pot aside to dry.

punching the holes in the top of the pots

Next, carefully punch two holes on opposite sides of the pot using a standard hole punch. Ensure the holes are aligned and evenly spaced for proper balance and stability.

Step Two: Making The Ribbon Handles

step two threading the ribbon through the holes

Cut your ribbon into eight-inch lengths. You will need one for each pot. Thread the ends of the ribbons through the holes that you punched previously.

You will thread from the inside out. Once threaded, straighten the ribbons to ensure they are properly aligned and not twisted.

Use scissors to carefully cut a small notch in the ends of the ribbons to help prevent fraying.

Step Three: Making The Ghost Tags

step three making the ghost tags

Download and print the FREE PRINTABLE GHOST TAGS onto white cardstock and cut them out.

Grab a permanent black marker to give these tags some personality, and add adorable faces to the blank tags.

Let your creativity shine as you bring these friendly ghosts to life with charming expressions.

adding bows to the ghost tags

Make some small bows from the leftover ribbon. Attach these bows to the ghost tags with hot glue. If you are giving these as gifts, use a marker to write a special note on the back of each ghost tag.

Step Four: Finish Your Candy Corn Pots
