To get started, simply download our free printable Advent calendar to color. Then print it out on regular printer paper or cardstock if you want something more durable. Watch your printer settings, the printable has wide margins, but I always select fit when I print it out.

Tip: If you don’t have a printer at home, try your public library. Most libraries have public computers and printers available for use. Upload the pdf file to Google Drive, or put it on a memory stick.

There are 24 days in December, so there are 24 different images to color. They are not arranged in numerical order, so there is the challenge of finding the picture of the day.

The images feature the cutest Christmas animals, from reindeer to owls!

We also have some stars, gifts, and Christmas treats. In pride of place is a decorated tree colored on Christmas Eve.

Each image is festive and will help get you into the holiday spirit. You can add embellishments around the calendar if you wish.

It might be fun to discuss each animal and create stories about them. How would these woodland creatures get ready for Christmas? What traditions would they have?

If you’re looking for a fun, easy, and free way to get into the holiday spirit this year, try our Advent calendar to color!

Download our free printable here and get ready to have some festive fun. You won’t be disappointed.
