Cut out a large watermelon slice about an inch thick. Carefully cut out Jack's "face". First, use a toothpick to mark two large holes for the eyes, and a curved smile.
Cut the eyes out
Carve the smile, then add the stitched cross-hatches
Use a drinking straw, or the tip of a small knife, to poke out the nostrils.
Blot the centerpiece and place it at the bottom of the board
Slice up the rest of the watermelon about 1/2 inch thick, and take off the rind.
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the watermelon into heart shapes, then cut each heart in half to create the ghosts.
Poke out the eyes and a mouth with a straw, or the tip of a small knife.
Separate the grapes from the bunch and string them on mini skewers, alternating with blackberries.
Cut the kiwi and orange into circles and place them along the edge of the board. Overlap the watermelon ghosts and prepared mini skewers. Fill the empty space with cherries and grapes.
