Fork
3 Microwave safe bowls
- 12 Oreo cookies
- ¼ cup Purple candy melts
- ¼ cup Green candy melts
- ¼ cup Orange candy melts
- Halloween sprinkles
Place candy melts into three individual microwave-safe bowls, one for each color. Microwave the candy melts for 30 seconds, stirring between intervals until the candy melts have completely melted and smooth.
Use a fork to dunk each cookie into the candy topping. Make sure the cookies are completely coated. Hold the cookie over the bowl briefly to catch any major drips.
Carefully place the cookies onto a rack to harden. Dip four Oreos in green, four in purple, and four in orange for a nice selection of colors.
Before the candy sets, shake the Halloween sprinkles over each Oreo. Be generous with your sprinkles! You can also add candy eyes to some cookies.
Let the decorated Oreos sit at room temperature until the candy is fully set. This usually takes 30 minutes to an hour.
After the candy has hardened, the cookies are ready to eat! You can display the Halloween Oreos on a fancy Halloween plate.
- Melt, dip, and decorate one color at a time.
- It is important to add the decorations before the candy starts to solidify so, have them ready to sprinkle or place immediately after dipping.
- Molten candy melts can burn, so kids must be supervised.
